KATHUA, July 28: The people of district Kathua, who have applied for new driving licenses or renewal of the old existing licenses, are suffering badly as for the last over two months, the RTO/ ARTO  authorities at Lakhanpur have failed to deliver them the same.
Reports said that for the last over two months, the people are frequently visiting the office of RTO Lakhanpur to collect their licenses but they are told by the staff that their printers were out of order. As and when these printers will be repaired, they will get the licenses. Even those, whose licenses have expired and applied for renewal are unable to get the same while this process takes hardly one week time in routine.
Minister for Transport, A G Kohli when contacted said that he was not aware of the matter. Mr Kohli said that he will inquire into the matter and  take appropriate action in this regard.
