UDHAMPUR, Sept 13: Locals of Lower Badhota held a protest against Rural Development Department for not making necessary correction in name of Panchayat Badhota after its delimitation into two parts.
They alleged that despite notification, issued by Director RDD, vide number 5402/ CEO/pyt/2017/1742, Dated 22/03/2017 for correction in the name of Panchayats whereas the proposed correction was placed in public domain, the concerning employees didn’t do as per order.
“Despite repeated memorandums to officials of the concerned block and district, our demand went unheeded,” the villagers said and held previous ACD and BDO responsible for the same.
The protesting people announced to boycott the forthcoming Panchayat elections if the necessary correction is not made immediately.
