RAJOURI, Oct 12: The residents of Kheora area, on Degree College Road in Rajouri town today held protest demonstration against the PHE authorities and blocked road for about two hours.
The people of the area including women came out on College Road at around 11 am and staged protest dharna. They were shouting slogans against the PHE authorities and the local administration. The protesters alleged that they were facing lot of problems due to scarcity of water but the authorities have failed to address the issue despite repeated requests. The movement of vehicles came to halt on the road.
Later, SHO Rajouri and Tehsildar moved to the area along with an AEE PHE concerned and they pacified the agitating people. The traffic was restored on the road around 1 pm.
