RAJOURI, Jan 21: The people from Ward 7 and 8 of Rajouri town today held protest demonstration against PDD authorities for massive power curtailment and blocked road at Abdullah bridge for more than an hour.
The people were shouting slogans against the Power Minister, Chief Engineer concerned and the Executive Engineer PDD M&RE Rajouri. They alleged that power cut has been increased and hardly 7-8 hour power is being supplied during these cold winter days. The study of the students is also badly hit. They alleged that PDD is sending fatty bills to the public but in turn providing very poor supply of power.
The movement of traffic was disrupted and long traffic jam was created. Then ADC Mumtaz Choudhary and DySP headquarters arrived there. They talked to the PDD officials and assured to improve power and also replace two damaged transformers from the locality.
