RAJOURI, July 28: People held a protest on Planghar-Lower Badhanu road as a portion of road in Planghar is in worst condition due to which the people are suffering.
Most of the time, the school buses carrying students have to drop student midway as the condition of road is very bad.
The road provides connectivity to different villages like Saj, Planghar, Nadian, Badhanu and also preferred by people to travel to Darhal and bypass road for Rajouri.
Rajouri-Thannamandi road is under construction and most of the people use this road to reach Rajouri but due to dilapidated conditions of a patch on Planghar-Lower Badhanu road, the people are suffering badly and a number of vehicles got damaged due to worst condition of the road.
Sarpanch Panchayat Negrajpura Shahida Kouser said the condition of the road is worst and recently a pregnant woman lost her baby as she could not reach the hospital on time.
She told that there are hundreds of such cases where people at the time of emergency fail to reach the hospital timely.
The people appealed to the DC Rajouri to look into the matter and get the road cleared as work on this road was started about a decades ago and still people are suffering badly.
