KATHUA, Sept 23: Irate people including the activists of NC held a protest demonstration in front of SSP office here and blocked Kathua -Kalibari road in protest against the filing of FIR against a senior NC leader, Devinder Singh Bindu by Raj Bagh Police under Section 366/384 and implicating him in a kidnapping case under a conspiracy.
The protesters including women who raised slogans against the police said that the case was filed on the behest of a local minister of the area by the police. They demanded that the case be withdrawn immediately failing which party will launch agitation.
However the ASP Kathua, Khalil Poswal pacified the protestors and assured them that SSP was out of Station and as soon as he returns the matter will be thoroughly investigated and people will get justice. On this assurance the protestors dispersed.
