KATHUA, Sept 1: The inhabitants of Kerian -Gandial held a protest demonstration here today and blocked the Kathua road for two hours in protest against the power crisis in the area.
The protesters said that for last 25 days they are facing blackout after the transformer developed a snag and the authorities failed to replace the same till date.
The protesters while criticizing the authorities of PDD said when they face complete blackout then why the power tariff is charged to them.
Seeing the plight of the people, the local residents of the Samba town also joined the protest in their support. They warned to intensify the agitation in case the problem was not settled immediately.
