People protest against lack of facilities in Ganderbal villages

SRINAGAR, Jan 21: The activists of People’s Welfare Society (PWS) and People’s Conference (PC) Ganderbal staged protest demonstrations in front of various Government offices including D C Office, Ganderbal against the wrong policies of the Government which have compounded the problems of masses.
The protests were led by patron PWS and district coordinator, PC Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani. Besides DC office where the irate activists of two parties agitated against non availability of ration at CAPD Depots and department’s failure to provide ration cards to the people as a large number of families were still pending, the protests were also held in front of M&RE Office, PHE, R&B Divisions and ARTO Office.
They demanded bus services for Butwani, Bazhama, Khanpora, Khar Bagh and Wakoora as people in these localities were facing many hardships due to lack of proper transport facilities.
They said the condition of roads is also worst in the area and power LT and HT lines are in precarious condition posing the threat of accidents.
They also demanded supply of drinking water to Butwani village and posting of Gynecologist and Surgeon at Hospital Butwani.
The protestors also brought the issues in the notice of DC Ganderbal.
