People protest against BSNL

POONCH, Jan 11:  Residents of Mendhar town including a large number of traders held protest demonstration   against the BSNL authorities for very poor services in the area.
The locals of the area came out on the main road and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against the BSNL authorities for their callous attitude. They alleged that Mobile phone connectivity is worst and call dropping and distortion in voice is the routine affair. Moreover, internet service mostly remains out of order, thus affecting banking and other services. Same is the condition of landline phone.
The Telephone exchanges at Dhar Galoon, Harni and Mankote are lying defunct and  generator sets of towers do not function in case of power curtailment.  No body bothers about the matter. Even inside Telephone Exchange at Mendhar, some traders are allowed to function and they  have displayed shoes and other stalls inside Govt complex, making  mockery of the system prevailing there.
The people after staging protest for about an hour dispersed. They  sought the intervention of  CGM, BSNL J&K Circle into the matter for improving services in the area and also monitor the functioning of the employees in this belt.
