SRINAGAR, July 31: National Conference (NC) general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar today said that the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have deep faith in the ideology of the party which has long been associated with genuine wishes and aspirations of the people of the three regions of the erstwhile J&K state.
Sagar was addressing the party activists at party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, where scores of political activists and workers associated with Peoples Conference from Kralpura (Kupwara) joined the NC in presence of provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, central secretary Mir Saifullah and in-charge Pahari wing Kashmir province Syed Rafiq Shah.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Sagar said that joining of such prominent workers is a telling indictment of the faith that the people of J&K have in the National Conference’s ideology. He said the joining of new entrants will strengthen the party fold at grass root level.
On the occasion, the new entrants vowed to make the party stronger on grass root level.
