People from all walks of life condole Mufti’s demise

JAMMU, Jan 7: The demise of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who breathed his last at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi this morning was widely condoled.
Former Union Minister and president Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Ambphalla, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta while condoling the sad demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said he was a man of true statesmanship.
He said his sudden demise is an irreparable loss to the State which has further created a great political vacuum.
Prof Gupta convened a condolence meeting of SVMM this morning to mourn the demise of Mr Sayeed. The meeting prayed for the eternal peace of departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. A two minutes silence was also observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
Dharmarth Trust J&K has also condoled the demise of Mr Sayeed. A condolence meting was held by the Trust here today under the chairmanship of its president Maj Gen (retd) R S Jamwal in which rich tributes were paid to Mr Sayeed and two minutes silence was observed in his memory.
Senior Supreme Advocate and Chairman Kashmir Policy and Strategy Group, Ashok Bhan has also expressed his shock and grief over the demise of Mr Sayeed whom he termed a great visionary leader, a nationalist by core and far –sighted politician. He said his sudden demise has created a political vacuum which can’t be filled up soon.
People’s Republican Party (PRP) has also condoled the demise of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and termed his death a great loss to the State as well as country.
The PRP which held a condolence meeting today said that Mufti was a great progressive, secular and socialist leader who throughout his life fought against inequality, oppressive and suppressive forces. He was a champion to the cause of poor, downtrodden and working class.
The meeting was convened by PRP chief Mir Ghulam Rasool and it was attended by party leaders G A Hamdard Gh Qadir Dar, Advocate G M Tramboo, P N Raina and S Joginder Singh in which rich tributes were paid to Mr Sayeed. Two minutes silence was also observed in his memory.
Veteran Gujjar Leader Shamsher ul Haqla Poonchi has also condoled the sudden demise of Mr Sayeed and termed his demise a great national loss. In his condolence message he termed Mr Sayeed a voice of oppressed and suppressed classes of the society in the State who always championed the cause of poor and down -trodden people of the State as well as country.
He said Mufti worked during his entire life for the welfare of these people and strengthening secular, socialist and democratic values in the State.
All Artists Welfare Association of Jammu (AAWAJ) Jammu Division has also expressed shock and grief over the demise of Mr Sayeed.  President of Association Kamal Sharma described him one of the seasoned politicians of the country and a man of very high stature who devoted his whole life for the service of the people of the State especially for the upliftment of down-trodden. Other office bearers of the organization who paid tributes to Mr Sayeed included Dr Sudhir Mahajan, its general secretary, Urja Singh, vice president, Baljeet Raina, Neha Sharma, Santosh Bandral, Kiran Mahajan, Neeraj Sethi etc.
Nami Dogra Sanstha Jammu held a condolence meeting here today to mourn the demise of Mr Sayeed. The meeting was presided over by S S Anand Lehar. Those who paid tributes to Sayeed were Prof Anupam Sharma, patron Youth Wing of Nami Dogri, Sanstha, S K Jain, Capt (retd) Parshotam Sharma, Shambu Ram Pyasa, M S Kamra, Sham Talib, Ashok Sharma, Som Raj Taroch and others.
National Peace Movement (NPM) held a condolence meeting here, today under the chairmanship of M K Koul in which profound shock and grief was expressed over the sudden demise of Mr Sayeed. The meeting termed Mr Sayeed a core nationalist and a great statesman. It said his sudden demise has created a vacuum which can’t be fulfilled so soon.
Jammu Kashmir Veterinary Doctors Association (JKVDA) has also condoled the sad demise of Mr Sayeed in a condolence meeting here today. The meeting termed him a visionary leader, a great statesman and a leader of masses. It observed two minutes silence as mark of respect to departed soul and prayed for the courage of bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
The doctors and staff of Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu held a condolence meting here, today in which rich tributes were paid to Mr Sayeed by Dr Tara Singh, Medical Superintendent. The meeting termed him the leader of masses who throughout his life worked for the upliftment of down-trodden.
Those who paid tributes included Deputy Director, Controller Stores, Dr Anil Gupta, Dr Jitender Gupta, Dr Rajnish Sharma,  Dr Ajay Tickoo, Dr Aruna Bhat, Dr Deepak Kachroo, Dr Sonika and Dr Neetu Handoo.
The Working body of Evacuee Property Tenants Welfare Society in a meeting here today held under the chairmanship of its president Mrs Jyoti Vaid termed the untimely demise of Mr Sayeed a great loss to the State as well as the Party when the State was passing through a critical time. General secretary of the Society Mohammed Sharief termed Mr Sayeed a visionary leader and said his demise is a great national loss.
The management staff and students of Acharya Sri Chander College Medical Science and Hospital condoled the demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. In a condolence meeting held in the Hospital premises today rich tributes were paid to departed leader. A two minutes silence was also observed as a mark of respect to him and the mourners expressed deepest sympathy with the bereaved family.
Chairman, Principal, staff and students of Doon International School have also expressed shock and grief over the sudden demise of Mr Sayeed. In a condolence meeting rich tributes were paid to departed soul and meeting recalled the contribution of Mr Sayeed to the State and the nation for which he will be always remembered.
Pensioners Association in its meeting here today expressed profound shock and grief over the demise of Mr Sayeed. The meeting was chaired by Sampat Parkash, president of the Association and other leaders including Mr Gupta, B D Verma, G M Panu,  Fida Kishtwari, Abdul Majid, Abdul Rashid and others in which Mr Sayeed was described a towering personality of the State and country and his demise a great national loss.
All J&K PDP Minority Cell in a condolence meeting here today expressed profound grief and shock over the demise of Mr Sayeed. The meeting prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and courage to the family to bear this irreparable loss. The meeting termed Mr Sayeed a daring politician and a hard-core nationalist who throughout his life struggled for maintaining highest traditions of democracy.
The meeting among others was addressed by A K Sidha, M K Bhat (retd DySP), Sahab Ji, Sunil Bali, D N Bhat, and B B Sadhu.

The meeting said Mr Sayeed’s service were needed by the people of State badly at this crucial juncture and his sudden demise has created a political vacuum which can’t be filled soon.
PDP Minority Cell leader and ex-Sarpanch Nana Ji Raina termed Mufti Sayeed’s demise a great loss to the nation and the State. He said Mufti was a great visionary and leader of masses who never compromised on his principles. He was a strength for nationalist and secular forces in the State, he added.

Civil Secretariat employees condoled the demise of Mr Sayeed. The Chairman of the Employees Coordination Committee Ghulam Rasool Mir on behalf of the employees has expressed profound shock and grief over the demise of Mr Sayeed.
Bharat Bhandari president All India Anti Terrorist Front (J&K) and members of the team have condoled the sad demise of Mr Sayeed. The Front termed Mr Sayeed a national leader and statesman of par excellence who enjoyed huge popularity in the State.
