DODA, Nov 2: The residents of Gandoh Sub Division expressed concern over the deplorable condition of the Doda-Thathri-Gandoh road.
They stated that since decades this road is accidental prone and Government has not taken any initiative for its maintenance. The residents urged the concerned authorities to expedite the work on the road so that the people of this vast region do not suffer any more.
While talking to the Excelsior, a local resident of Thathri said that in recent years major accidents had taken place on this road due to its dilapidated condition and despite that the authorities seem to be in deep slumber.
He stated that the condition of the road is deteriorating and the concerned authorities have turned blind eye towards it.
“Hundreds of vehicles including commercial and private and even ambulances carrying patients ply on this accidental prone road and the concerned authorities should initiate work to repair it so as to provide sigh of relief to thousands of people living in Gandoh Sub Division”, the resident added.
