People express concern over bad condition of Sumb-Dabi road

SAMBA, July 26: Construction of Sumb -Dabi road which was started over two years back has not been completed yet due to which the people in this entire belt have been put to many problems in this rainy season.
According to the residents of the area, the work of Samba -Sumb -Goran road was started over two years ago, which has not been completed yet and the condition of the road is worst and it has become a death trap for the commuters.
The drivers of mini buses as well as those driving two wheelers feel it difficult to travel on this road which remains mostly closed during the rainy season.
Naresh Sharma leader of Panthers Party said that the condition of the road leading to Sumb -Goran is very bad. The work of this road was started over two years back, but it has not been completed yet. He said that in the holy Goran Baba shrine thousands of devotees come to pay obeisance but the road is in such a bad condition that the devotees face lot of difficulty in reaching to the holy shrine. Many seriously ailing people and pregnant women have died in the way when referred from Sumb Primary Health Center to District Hospital Samba. The people of the entire belt are very upset over the bad condition of this road, he added.
Local resident of village Sumb, Pankaj Sharma said that the work of Sumb -Goran road was started over two years ago, which should have been completed yet, but it seems that the authorities are not interested in completion of work.
People of Sumb Goran village have appealed to LG Girish Chandra Murmu seeking his immediate attention towards this issue.
