People demand replacement of wooden poles

JAMMU, Jan 8: The residents of village Badota in Panchari are up in arms against PDD for failing to install iron electric poles and new wires in the area.
They said that absence of concrete electric poles and standard wire poses risk to their lives and property.
The wooden poles are being used to supply electricity and the wires hanging with these wooden poles are posing a risk to their lives.
While speaking, a local resident Kartar Singh said that wires hanging with the wooden poles are open invitation to any untoward incident.
He demanded replacement of these wooden poles with concrete poles.
