SAMBA, July 24: A month ago, a Kula of a poor widow was burnt in the village Sadral under Uttar Bahani, but so far the Government has not provided any ex-gratia relief to this poor woman who has no earning hand in the family.
The failure of the administration to come to the rescue of this poor woman has generated a lot of resentment among the people of the area. The former Sarpanch of the area, Balkar Chand and villagers said that the shelter of the poor woman was burnt a month ago. At that time officers of Police Department and administration also reached on the spot and took stock of the situation but even after a month has passed, she has not been provided any help by the authorities.
They said the rainy season has already set in and there is no one in the family to earn the livelihood. Her son is dumb and deaf due to which people have demanded that the Government should provide some sort of relief to this woman so that family can pass the days smoothly. Former Sarpanch, Balkar Chand said that many schemes have been run by the Government and this poor woman should be supported through any one of the scheme.
