JAMMU, Oct 23: People are the best judge of our work, as they have the first- hand knowledge of all the developments that took place in the their area over the years said Sanjay Kumar Baru, BJP senior leader and JMC councillor Ward 41.
Sanjay Baru was speaking in a Jagrata programme organized by the Bohri Shopkeeper Association and Hazuri Bagh Welfare Society.
Sanjay Baru said that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi paved way for better services to the people with exemplary good governance in the nine years of his Government, which has inspired the public representatives at different levels in the Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies.
These public dedicated actions by the Modi Government, hereby restored the faith of people in the democratic set up of nation, he said, adding that he too has followed the footsteps of Modi Ji in the last five years dedicatedly serving the residents of the wards through all these years.
The tenure of the present Councilors of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), which is near completion, has seen splendid developmental works with massive funding from the Government after the adoption of 74th amendment of the Constitution. He said that new lanes, drains, street lights have been given to the wards, linking roads have been widened and blacktopped, open nallahs covered and new water supply pipes laid, thus providing better civic amenities to the people. He said that Ward No. 41 has witnessed massive development, which is not a hollow claim but the ground situation itself makes people realize that lot of work has been done for the first time.
Bohri Shopkeeper Association president, Nischal Sahni, on this occasion, said concrete efforts in widening the road and construction of Chowk in Bohri, Talab Tillo, by the councillor has eased the traffic jams and provided big relief to the people of the area.
Pyare Lal Mawa, Dr. T K Moza, Kamini Kesar, Sunil Bhat, Rajesh Gupta, Vijay Sharma, Sanjeev Sahni, Sumit Verma, Rohit Safaya and were among other prominent people present.
