Pensioners’ plea

Sir,
We, the State Government pensioners express our deep concern and anguish over the apathy of the State Government towards its pensioners. The J&K Government deferred the implementation of 7th Pay Commission till April 2018 without giving any valid and substantive reasons leaving the pensioners in hot water. Due to the rising prices of essential commodities it has become very difficult for pensioners to lead a normal life.
Moreover, the pensioners are in old age and are suffering from various ailments. Government should have enhanced the Medical Allowance from Rs 3000 to Rs 3000 per month. Government should have a sympathetic view and order enhancement of medical allowance. Besides, Government should make special arrangements and legal provisions for free treatment of pensioners. We, the State Government pensioners request the Government, to  provide some sort of interim relief till the 7th Pay Commission is implemented for State Government pensioners. It is  hoped that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu will take a sympathetic view of the demands and issues of State Government Pensioners.
Yours etc….
