Sir,
Pensioners who retired from 1/2006 to 6/2009 were being given revised gratuatity and commutation benefits and the arrears thus due to them were ordered to be paid in two equal installments in years 2011 and 2012. Thus one installment was paid in the year 2011 and the next is due in this year (2012). Treasury officials passed the bills more than a month before but no payment is made till date as the officials show helplessness that treasuries are short of cash.
It is amazing to learn that those who retired after 6/2009, got the whole amount in one go. Also many pensioners who retired from 1/2006-6/2009, got the whole amount years before by pleasing the authorities in various ways.
It is humbly requested to the CM and the FM, to do justice for this helpless section of pensioners, by giving them their due right as it is enough late now.
