SRINAGAR, June 18: Pensioners Welfare Association in its separate meetings held at Manigam, Prang and Kangan discussed various demands.
The meetings were presided over by Mir Ghulam Rasool patron of the Association and its president Abdul Rehman Hajam. While discussing the demands, urged the Government to implement the SRO 57 and the Pensioners and employees in PDD and other Engineering Departments by given the benefit of SRO 59.
The Association said that many employees in PDD and other Engineering Depart-ments were deprived of the benefits of SRO 59 when only favourtism was shown while implementing the SRO.
The Association also urged the Government to settle the long pending demands of pensioners especially by releasing the arrears of 6th Pay Commission and other benefits.
