JAMMU, Feb 9: A meeting of the J&K UT Pensioners and Civil Society Association Jammu was held under the chairmanship of S Ajit Singh (president) for highlighting the issues and demands of the pensioners.
In the meeting, general secretary N D Sharma demanded settlement of the issues of the pensioners, which include DA, Medical Allowance, removal of disparity in pension of same rank, etc.
The meet urged the Lt Governor of J&K to issue necessary instructions for settlement of these issues and demands of the pensioners at the earliest.
Others, who spoke in the meeting, included S S Jasrotia, N H Malik, J R Gupta, T R Padha and Prof O P Sharma.
