In the light of Government order No. 57 F of 213 dated: 11.03.2013, the State pensioners stand deprived of arrears w.e.f. from 1.1.2006. The order is applicable from 1.1.13 to State pensioners family pensioners that amounts to great injustice which is discrimination between the pre and post retirees. Arrears and pensionary benefits have been allowed to post 1.1.2006 pensioners while the same have been denied to pre 1.1.2006 pensioners. This is clear-cut disparity between pre and post 1.1.2006 pensioners with regard to monetary benefits. It is here worth to mention that Central Govt has maintained parity between pre and post 1.1.2006 retirees. But it is unfortunate that our State Govt has not been fair towards the pre 1.1.2006 pensioners and family pensioner. There seems no logic before the State Govt to allow monetary benefit to one section of the pensioners and disallow the same to others of the same class category retirees. Govt should re-consider the order issued on 11.03.2013 as above and needs proper modification so as to maintain parity between pre and post pensioners family pensioners. Let us hope our Govt steps in earnestly redress the grievances of pensioners and family pensioners.
