PEEU for regularization after seven years

KATHUA, Oct 24: Provincial Electrical Employees Union (PEEU) in a meeting here today has demanded that the regularization period for daily wagers should continue to be seven years and not ten years as announced by the Government.
The meeting which was chaired by president of the Union P C Sharma while expressing its pleasure over Government decision to regularize 62,000 casual laborers in the State said that the decision has generated a new hope among these hapless people who have given their prime age to the various engineering departments.
He however said that the previous policy on regularization i.e after completion of seven years service be continued.
The meeting also demanded that the daily wagers and causal labourers be regularized on a set pattern as has been adopted for ReTs.
