JAMMU, July 21: Satwari police nabbed a pedestrian along with 60 pouches of illicit liquor.
A police spokesman said that, on specific information, police team from Satwari police station laid a naka at Rani Bagh Bridge and intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 60 pouches of illicit liquor and nabbed the bootlegger on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Shashi Paul, son of Puran Chand of Bhour Camp.
A case under FIR Number 147/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Satwari and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Satwari police station Inspector Manjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
