UDHAMPUR, Nov 22: A young man was knocked to death by an unidentified vehicle on the Ramnagar-Kulwanta road, here today.
The deceased was identified as Vijay Kumar (39), son of Kirpu Ram of Thaplal in Ramnagar Tehsil.
The accident took place at Ward number 12, Kulwanta, around 12.30 p.m when the victim was hit by an unidentified vehicle while walking on the roadside. The victim reportedly died on the spot while the vehicle was sped away by its driver after the accident.
Later, the body was sent for postmortem by police. After completion of all the formalities and postmortem, the body was handed over to the family members.
Ramnagar Police has registered a case in this connection under Section 279,304A for further investigation.
