Pedestrian arrested with intoxicants

JAMMU, Dec 5: Arnia police arrested a pedestrian and recovered large quantity of intoxicants from his possession.
As per police spokesman, a team from Arnia police station laid a naka at Salehar and asked a pedestrian coming from Bishnah to stop.
The man tried to escape from the spot, but the cops chased and nabbed him.
During checking, police recovered 20 bottles of banned syrup, 540 intoxicant capsules and 165 tablets and arrested the person.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at police station Arnia and investigation started to ascertain the source and destination of this consignment.
Police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and assisted by SHO Arnia Inspector Satish Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu, RC Kotwal.
