The peaceful resolution of Dokalam stand-off underlines the fact that matters even if serious can be resolved peacefully provided the parties concerned are willing to do so.
The peaceful resolution of this stand-off can serve an example elsewhere in the world. Had the two countries got entangled in a war, it would have brought unprecedented misery to both the nations. Thank God, good sense has prevailed over belligerence.
The stand-off has a lesson for Pakistan-our neighbour and arch enemy. India has been insisting Pakistan to resolve all the pending issues between them bilaterally, but Pakistan is bent on achieving its nefarious designs through force. There has been mere loss of life and property at the LoC on both sides of the border. The ensuing acrimony has uprooted lot of people and more people will suffer in case no peaceful solution is found immediately.
The earlier Pakistan realizes the futility of war, the better it would be for Pakistan itself, and for the whole sub-continent.
