NEW DELHI, May 13: Peaceful polling with good poll per cent in the ongoing Lok Sabha (LS) elections in Jammu and Kashmir is only possible due to the prevailing peace and normalcy in the Union Territory (UT).
This was stated by the senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament (MP) Rajya Sabha Gulam Ali Khatana in a press statement issued, here today. He further said that people of Rajouri-Poonch should not support the political parties like National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which work exclusively for the interests of a single family as such political parties will give nothing to the people except hollow promises.
Khatana said that voting for the dynasts will bring back the stone pelting, protest calendars, killings and the era of bloodshed will again return to J&K. “BJP has worked a lot for bringing peace and normalcy in J&K,” he maintained adding, “It was only BJP which has worked for all the sections of the society without any discrimination.”
The BJP leader said that in the last ten years of the Government led by BJP with PM Narendra Modi at the helm, our country has witnessed remarkable developments in every field and empowerment of common public was ensured.
“The third term for PM Modi will take the nation to newer heights which a common man can’t even think of and there will be much for every Indian ranging from better education facilities, better healthcare, housing for all to unlimited job avenues in a peaceful and progressive atmosphere,” he continued.
Khatana said that a good citizen should not sit at home on the polling day but should vote to a proper candidate taking it as his moral responsibility.
