JAMMU, Jan 11: Students from various colleges under the banner of People Democratic Student Union (PDSU) held a protest demonstration for roll back of new recruitment policy.
Shouting slogans against the Government and carrying placards, the protesting students assembled in front of the Jammu University main gate and held a strong demonstration there.
They were also raising slogans against the Government for its failure to curb rampant corruption in the State and check back door appointments in different department.
The protesters were led by Sandeep Singh Wazir, incharge PDSU, who addressed the students and termed new recruitment policy of the Government as cruel joke on students and youth of the State.
He demanded immediate roll l back of this policy and warned that students would be forced to start state wide agitation against the Government.
Others who addressed the protest, included Rohit Manhas, Mahesh Bakshi, Shubham Sharma, Hardeep Singh, Harpreet Singh Lucky, Masood Malik, Shabaz, Akamat, Azhar, Vishal Choudhary, Ajay Bhat, Vishal Sharma, Sandeep Thakur Sahil, Rajinder Manhas and Vikram Singh.
