A large number of PDP workers led by senior leaders T S Bajwa, Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin and Hussain Ali Wafa assembled at the party headquarters Gandhi Nagar here today and started protest rally. They were shouting slogans against the NC-Congress Coalition Government, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the Ministers of concerned departments. They were also raising slogans against PHE, PDD.
After starting their protest rally, the PDP activists moved towards Gole Market Gandhi Nagar and after passing through main market and adjoining localities, culminated their protest outside party office. They alleged that due to long power curtailment the people of Jammu are facing hardships. This has also affected the business and industry. The water supply in many areas of city has also been turned inadequate and the people are facing lot of hardships. They said after Darbar move, the Government is least bothered about the water and power supply position in the winter capital.
Mr Bajwa alleged that Government has failed to address the public issues and provide essential services to them. Such a Government has no right to stay in power. The people have been fed up with the mis-governance of NC-Congress coalition, he maintained.
Party leaders Surjeet Kour, Chaman Angral, Puneet Jamwal, Rafiq Malik, Virender Singh, Harmeet Singh and others also accompanied.
