JAMMU, Oct 29: A meeting of PDP workers was organized by F C Bhagat, District president, Jammu (Rural) at Bishnah, under the chairmanship of Ved Mahajan, general secretary of the party.
The objective of the meeting was to strengthen the party at grass root level by way of membership drive and to listen the problems of the party workers and to mitigate these problems at Tehsil/Block level.
Various demands were highlighted by the workers in the meeting with regard to poor condition of transformers, electric wires/poles, delay in issuance of PRC, SC/ST/OBC category certificates, new cases of old age pensions and likewise other routine matters.
F C Bhagat, while speaking, highlighted various problems being faced by the public of the Bishnah constituency and its immediate solution by the Government. He appreciated the development initiative taken by the Ministry of PWD, RDD & CAPD. He particularly appreciated the special attention paid towards Bishnah constituency and taking up big road projects like Sarore Adda to Natral road, Natral to Chak Hasal road, Chak Hasal to Pandorian, Chak Shibu to Karyal-Arnia road, Deoli to Lalyana, Kunjwani to Bishnah road, Bishnah to Dabhler-Deoli-Makhanpur road, Karel Manhasan to Rehal road and other small stretches.
Besides these roads, Bishnah to Khairi Chang road, Bahadurkhan to Bishnah & Pindi Charkan-Treva-Jabowal and few other roads are also in the pipeline, he added.
Bhushan Lal Dogra, VC, State Advisory Board for SC, in his address, highlighted the schemes of Advisory Board and asked the party workers to aware the public to get the maximum benefit of these schemes.
Ved Mahajan and T S Bajwa (Ex-MP), while addressing the party workers, said that PDP is the real democratic institution and PDP-BJP Government is the right example where the party respected the sentiments of both the divisions and strengthen the democratic institution of the country.
Others, who spoke on the occasion, included S P Charak, Rajinder Manhas, Chatter Saini, Yash Pal, Bhagwan Dass Sharma, Mulkh Raj, Pritam Lal , Janak Raj, Suraj Prakash Sharma and Tarsem Saini.
