JAMMU, July 22: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) activists today staged protest demonstration against lodging of an FIR against Tak Firdous, Ex-MLC and other party leaders, by Kishtwar police, seeking immediate withdrawal of case.
Led by Parvez Waffa, PDP youth leader, the party workers assembled in front of Press Club and raised slogans against lodging of FIR against Tak Firdous Ex- MLC and Youth president Wasil Doolwal besides others by Kishtwar police.

Waffa demanded immediate withdrawal of FIR and appealed administration to rethink on its decision of arming civilians in Chenab region as it may vitiate peace and communal harmony of the region.
He further said that if FIR is not withdrawn against Tak the protests shall continued. He said that this police case is only an attempt to silence the opposition and administration was clearly biased.
He said that party leaders have represented aspiration of people and right of protest has been granted by our law and constitution. He said that forces aiming to further vitiate atmosphere in the state will not be allowed to succeed. “We will fight against divisive and disastrous plans”, he added.
Among those who joined the protest included- Rafiq Malik, Vijay Anand, Sunil Fangotra , RK Lalotra, Naveen Sharma, Rajat Gupta, Rajinder Chib, Dalip Baru, Rajat Randhawa, Sohan Kumar, Narinder Sharma, Deepak Gupta, Karan Damir and Sachin Bhagat.
