SRINAGAR, Mar 25: Maintaining that the PDP has always believed in propagating divisive politics for their petty interests and ulterior motives, the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayats and senior leader of National Conference, (NC) Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that the developments registered by his Party led Government have induced a sense of desperation and frustration in the minds of the PDP leaders who have resorted to lies and political gimmickry.
Mr Sagar was addressing a huge gathering at Pulwama in South Kashmir, as part of the people to people contact. It was attended by eminent persons of the area besides leaders of the National Conference and District president Pulwama, G N Niloora.
Mr Sagar said the PDP has always been involved in the mechanizations to stall the interests of the Sate for their petty political interests and grab power to suit their interests. He said that the party has been responsible for enactment of certain draconian laws like AFSPA, which has been responsible for inflicting miseries on the people of the State and now in a state of fear and hypocrisy they are trying to mislead the people by spreading lies as well as false propaganda that they had worked for its repeal during their tenure in power.
Referring to the vicious propaganda being launched by the party against NC, Sagar said.“It is not for the first time that this party is targeting National Conference by launching vicious propaganda against it, they are in a habit of doing so since long and have always been defeated in their nefarious designs by the people”.
Sagar said that PDP has always believed in divisive propaganda by pitting one region against other in order to hide their failures while in power but the present Government has ensured equitable development of the State without giving preferential treatment to any particular area or region.
