SRINAGAR, Dec 21: As a prelude to streamline further the gross root party network to reach out to masses, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) general secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir today nominated Adv G A Thakur as zone incharge for Anantnag and Peer Nazir Ahmad as zone incharge for Wachi constituencies.
The arrangement followed an extensive exercise and interaction with the party cadre as a consultative process in tune with the democratic traditions of the party.
In a statement a party spokesman said that these nominations were approved by the Party president Mehbooba Mufti after thorough discussion on the exercise undertaken in respective zones and recommendations made by respective district presidents and the party coordinator.
The party general secretary hoped that the nominees for these zones will come up to the expectations of the party cadre in particular and masses in general.
