PDP MLA, PSO booked

RAJOURI, Aug 8: MLA PDP from Rajouri, Ch Qamar Hussain and his three Personal Security Officers (PSOs) were booked by Rajouri police for the alleged attempt to murder a Government teacher late  last evening here.
A senior police official disclosed that on the complaint of  teacher and his family members, a case FIR No. 336/ 2017  under Sections,  307 ( attempt to murder),   341 (wrongful restraint) and 34 ( criminal act done by several persons) RPC,  has been registered against local MLA and three Policemen ( PSOs)  at Police Station Rajouri.

He further disclosed that the victim was hospitalised  late last evening and then referred to GMC Hospital Jammu for the damage caused to his eye.
Sources said that teacher Ayaz Ahmed, son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Palulian village near Dassal I  Rajouri,   was busy in the construction of his house near Darhali bridge. It was at around 8.15 pm when MLA along with this three armed PSOs was moving through that area on his official vehicle.
He saw the teacher there and stopped. He came down the vehicle and his PSOs also followed him and they started abusing the teacher. As the teacher resisted, they allegedly beat up him and then escaped after leaving him injured on the spot.  The locals of the area rushed for the rescue and later shifted the teacher to District Hospital, Rajouri.
Medical staff refused to entertain Medico Legal Case but later in the morning, a strong delegation of  people moved to the SSP Rajouri and with his intervention the police registered a case FIR against MLA and his PSOs. The injured Ayaz has been referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu.
Meanwhile, Qamar Choudhary  while talking to the media at Dak Bungalow here this afternoon claimed that he and his PSOs have not attacked teacher Ayaz. He claimed that  teacher and his family were trying to malign his image. The MLA also alleged that police was acting bias and  was taking one sided version. He demanded immediate shifting of SSP Rajouri and the local SHO.
