JAMMU, June 7: Intensifying its campaign in support of party candidate Mehbooba Mufti who is contesting bye -election from Anantnag Assembly segment, PDP Migrant Cell held public meetings at various places here to garner vote and support for the Party candidate.
The Party held a public meeting at Roop Nagar under the leadership of Ramesh Kaul, chairman Migrant Cell in which the party activists were asked to go door to door asking people to fill up the M Forms and ensure their total participation in the bye-elections by casting their vote in favour of Mehbooba Mufti.
The Cell also opened its election office at Roop Nagar and the office bearers of Anantnag Parbandhak Committee led by its president M K Bumbroo were also present in the meeting. Ramesh Kaul appealed the migrants from Anantnag Assembly segment to strengthen the hands of Mehbooba Mufti for the prosperity and better future of the people of the State as well as displaced people from the Valley.
Rakesh Pardesi, senior leader of the Cell while highlighting the steps taken by the PDP led coalition during the tenure of Mufti Mohammed Sayed for the welfare of migrants said that return of migrants with honour and dignity was cherished dream of late leader and Mehbooba Mufti is committed to fulfill that. He said strengthening PDP is strengthening secularism.
M K Bumbroo president Prabandhak Committee also appealed the voters of Anantnag to strengthen hands of Mehbooba Mufti while Ashok Sidha and M K Raina highlighted the pro-peoples policies of PDP.
Sunil Bhat, Shab Ji, Sunil Bali, S K Raina, Jowhar, Durga Nath, M K Bhat (retd ) DySP and others addressed the meeting.
