JAMMU, Dec 18 : PDP Migrant Cell has accused the Centre and State Governments of stepmotherly treatment and discriminatory attitude towards internally displaced KP’s. Addressing a meeting of displaced Pandits at Jagti Township today PDP Migrant Wing president Ashok Bhat, said that both NC led Coalition and Central Government have taken KPs for granted thus ignoring them on all fronts because being a minuscule minority they are not vote bank.
He said that KP’s have played a vital role in every elections in the State. In coming elections too this small margin of vote can again play a significant role, he added.
He said that the return policy of displaced Pandits to Kashmir the NC Coalition and Center Governments are not interested for their purposeful rehabilitation and resettlement in the Valley, but for a token return they have given lollypops to some selected members of the community.
He said NC-Congress coalition are never sincere and honest towards KP community, which is evident from its delay in passage of Shrine Bill, rehabilitation of over aged youth’s and its cold response of enhancement of relief, allotment of shops, quarters and other related issues. Ashok Bhat said instead of providing healing touch to KPs community the NC-Congress Government policies are aimed at providing heating touch to displaced community from the Valley.
Bhat said that it is unfortunate that State Government has used police force on peaceful migrant relief holder’s rally, who were demanding enhancement of cash relief here yesterday.
The meeting was also addressed by Ramesh Koul, RK Paradsi, Sunil Bhat, Veerji Raina, Babloo Singh, Chandji Khar, Ravi Ji, Chand Ji Bhat & Gagan Ji.
