PDP leader hurt as revolver goes off

KATHUA, May 7: A local PDP leader was injured after a revolver went off at his residence at Hatli Morh here late this evening.
A police spokesman said that District president of PDP Surinder Singh sustained bullet injury on his thigh as a licensed revolver went off at his residence at around 8.30 pm today. With injury, he was rushed to District Hospital, Kathua by family members.
DySP Headquarters, Kathua Surjit Singh and SHO, B B Manhas, claimed that it was just accidental fire from the licensed revolver of Surinder Singh when he was fiddling with it. They said a case has been registered for investigation. He was operated upon and the bullet was removed from his thigh.
