JAMMU, Apr 2: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Jammu West Zone president, Puneet Singh Jamwal today asked Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to maintain cleanliness in all wards of Jammu city for the festival season.
He also urged Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) authorities to expedite cleanliness of Ranbir Canal and simultaneously lift filth form the site which is causing havoc for the local residents on both banks of this canal.
“The Navratras are going on while Jammu Mahotsav has been planned in different places of Jammu City and then Baisakhi is also drawing nearer when people will throng religious places and go for shopping in a big way. Keeping in view this season and fast approaching summers, JMC, I&FC besides Health Department must ensure that city is
well maintained and wears a festive look,” he said in a statement.
