PDP election material seized

JAMMU, Nov 2: Keeping vigil over violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC), police today seized a Tata Sumo carrying election campaign material of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from Kullian area, falling under the jurisdiction of Miran Sahib police station.
As per police sources, police team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka led by SHO Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and intercepted a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK02G-6053.
During checking, police recovered election campaign material of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), which the driver of the vehicle was carrying without permission from the concerned authorities and in violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
The vehicle along with election campaign material was seized, while police has taken cognizance in this regard.
When contacted, SHO Miran Sahib police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta confirmed the seizure of the Tata Sumo with election campaign material of PDP.
