JAMMU, Aug 20: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from Jammu East for the forthcoming elections, Bharat Choudhary today said that PDP has an active agenda for political empowerment of weaker sections and called for larger participation in elections with support to PDP.
“Social justice and economic emancipation of the underprivileged classes is corner stone of the cherished agenda of PDP “, Choudhary said at a function held here this afternoon in Prem Nagar organized by Rafeeq Malik and Arif Malik, senior PDP leaders in connection with the joining of several prominent political and social workers from other political parties in State.
Welcoming new entrants in the party fold, Choudhary attributed the spurt in joining of prominent social activists, belonging to vast mass of society, into PDP as a logical and positive development, saying that pro people policies and programmes of party have been a motivating factor for bringing cross section of people within the party fold.
