PDP committed to address grievances of all sections of society: Vikramaditya

JAMMU, Sept 24: Seeking support of every section of the society to establish a new system in justice and equality in Jammu and Kashmir, senior leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Yuvraj Vikramaditya Singh today assured the people that PDP under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed to address the aspirations of all sections of the society.
Addressing a public meeting at Nagrota near here to mobilize public support in favour Party candidate Hussain Ali Waffa, Mr Vikramaditya Singh said that PDP has decided to formulate a comprehensive vision document to address grievances of all regions and sub-regions of the State. “Our vision document would be formulated by incorporating wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society”, he said and added that successive State Governments in Jammu and Kashmir have ignored Jammu region in all aspects of life.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a very crucial juncture and it is the need of hour to strengthen hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to get the State out of present unprecedented crisis.
“My decision to join politics is aimed at serving people of the State in general and Jammu region in particular”, Yuvraj Vikramaditya said and reminded the gathering that it was only during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that equal treatment was given to all regions of the State.
Vikramaditya Singh observed that State of Jammu and Kashmir has been plunged into unprecedented crisis due to six years long mis-governance followed by devastating floods in the first week of this month. “It seems that there is no Government and the residents of Jammu and Kashmir are at the mercy of the God”, he said and pointed out that recent floods and incessant rains have exposed mis-governance in the State.
