JAMMU, Aug 31:  Former Minister and JKPCC vice president, Raman Bhalla today said that two opportunist parties, PDP-BJP have left the State in a state of chaos and confusion during over 3 years of misrule.
Speaking in the meetings of District Congress Committees Jammu Urban and Jammu Rural  at PCC office, here today, Bhalla said that  the way people were being forced to come on streets against non-availability of basic amenities like drinking water, ration and power was an indication of the total failure of the PDP-BJP Government.
He alleged that instead of solving peoples’ problems, leaders of coalition were “over-burdened with solving their own internal conflicts and bickering. He said that three years period of PDP-BJP regime was marked conflict and fissures. He said PDP and BJP created hype and plunged the State into uncalled for controversies over issues which were no way connected either with governance or the much touted development.
He alleged the PDP-BJP leaders were busy “only in delivering sermons and repeating the often repeated hollow claims”. “Unemployment was a huge challenge for the state and this problem contributes to the political uncertainty and unrest. Instead of taking concrete steps to provide means of livelihood to people, they neglected it completely”. He said all the important projects of Jammu region whether it is Jammu AIIMS, Smart city, artificial lake project, the Chenab water supply scheme, construction of the Rehari Chungi- Jewal Chowk flyover, ring roads are lying unattended, he added.
“Priority of this regime was not to empower people by strengthening democratic institutions but those at the helm of  affairs wanted to accomplish their nefarious designs by controlling such institutions through undemocratic means”, Bhalla said adding that such attitude of both PDP-BJP has  proved disastrous for the State.
Vikram Malhotra, president DCC Jammu (Urban) while speaking on the occasion said that BJP acted as dummy coalition partner in the Government as discrimination with Jammu province was being done at every level including  recruitment, allotment of funds, development in tourist sector etc. and added that people of region are now cutting sorry figures over giving mandate to such parties whose indentation was never ever to serve people. Hari Singh Chib, president DCC Jammu (Rural)  also spoke on the occasion.
