PDP-BJP Govt following foot-steps of separatists: Cong

JAMMU, July 31: Senior Congress leaders  have alleged that BJP and PDP were  following the foot-steps of separatists and stood exposed before the people.
In a joint statement issued here today, these PCC leaders have expressed their shock and anguish over the statement of DyCM, Dr Nirmal  Singh in which he said that “The killing of Hizbul  Commander Burhan Wani was an accident and the presence of Wani  at the site of the encounter was not known to the security forces”.
While condemning the remarks strongly the Congress leaders stated that views expressed by the DyCM are exact replica of the statement of the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, issued by her few days back. They further elaborated that such statements by top functionaries of the Govt are an attempt on their part to control the situation in the Valley by appeasing the terrorists and following footsteps of the separatists.
The Congress leaders described it shocking and ridiculous when DyCM while speaking to the media persons said that security forces would have been careful, in case, they knew the presence of Burhan Wani among the militants at the site of encounter. This is an attempt on the part of DyCM to discredit the security forces, when he said that he was informed by the Army and Police, regarding presence of Burhan Wani, Congress leaders stated.
They further said that country is proud of its security forces and nobody can question their dedication, commitment to the Nation The leaders applauded their role in eliminating those who are out to challenge the unity and integrity of this great nation and also for ensuring that no innocent civilian was targeted.
The Congress leaders appreciated the efforts of all political parties and social organizations, who are contributing in bringing peace and normalcy in the State especially at the time when the “Holy Amarnath Yatra” is going on. At the same time, they strongly condemned those, who are speaking the language of the separatists and providing fodder to forces involved in Anti-India campaign both within and outside Pakistan.
Prominent among signatories to this statement included Jugal Kishore  Sharma- MLC, Th Hari Singh, RS Chib former Minister, Ashok Sharma, Jagdish Sapolia- both Ex-MLAs, Amolak Singh, Master Tasadduq Hussain, Arun  Sharma, Broj Mohan, Geeta Devi and Sardari Lal Dubey.
