JAMMU, Aug 7: A meeting of J&K PDD Need Basis/Casual Labourers Union, Jammu province, was held under the chairmanship of its president Ch Sampooran Singh.
The meeting in one voice expressed great resentment and concern over the non-release of pending wages of all Need Basis working in PDD. It expressed grave anguish over non-release and distribution of Rs 6.50 crores as sanctioned by the Chief Minister in the year 2012 in favour of Power Development Department. But even after the lapse of about two years tenure, these poor employees are yet to receive a penny from the said amount.
Other members present in the meeting were Akhil Sharma, Shesh Kumar, Sham Lal Sharma, Mahinder Pal Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Moti Lal, Raj Kumar etc.
