“These officials are involved in the corruption of crores of rupees, how can we expect that under their management, the department is going to see, what the Government is saying, a bright future,” he said.
He said that the Coordination Committee is not against the measures aimed at bringing in new life to the department, but it is also demanding that such official should be held accountable for what they have done. “There are FIRs registered against them, “he said.
While thanking people of Jammu for supporting their agitation, he said that the Coordination Committee wants to tell the people of Kashmir that the agitation was not for the personal benefits of the employees, “rather, it is an attack on the resources of J&K,” he said.
“Our protest is going to continue and at the same time we are appealing the LG to cancel the order that has been issued by the SAC so that the future of 31000 employees is saved,” he added.
The employees said that they will continue to press for their demands till Government comes up with a plan which will ensure the safety of the interests of the employees who have been working on ground for decades now.
