Srinagar, Dec 3: Police today said an employee of Power Development Depart-ment (PDD) was electrocuted at a Grid Station in Wanpoh area of Anantnag district and later succumbed in hospital.
A police spokesman said the employee Mohammad Iqbal Bhat got electrocuted at Grid Station Gassipora in Wanpoh. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of all legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites,” he said, adding that the proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been initiated by police.
