PCC leader projects issues of Machhedi people

JAMMU, Mar 22: Senior PCC leader Rajnish Sharma who contested assembly elections unsuccessfully from Bani constituency took stock of the problems of the people during a meeting held at Machhedi today.
During the meeting the Congress leader listened to the hardships being faced by the people of the area, especially due to heavy rains and shortage of ration supply to the general public. The bad condition of road, ration and kerosene oil shortage, poor supply of power were the main issues projected by the people.
This meeting was attended by people from all walks of life who highlighted the problems of non-functioning of Tehsil office at Machhedi, damage caused to Kucha houses and crops due to heavy rains and hail- storm recently.
Inspite of creating a new Tehsil for Machhedi/Lohai Malhar, general public living in the area have to go to Billawar for the redressal of their problems, as the Tehsil in Machhedi/ Lohai Malhar is non-functional, which is creating further inconvenience for the public residing in the area. General public by and large is not getting any benefit from Tehsil in Machhedi and feeling cheated, as the Tehsildar sits only at Billawar.
The Congress leader appealed to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu for addressing the problems at the earliest, including the compensation for the damaged crops and houses so that public at large is saved from the inconvenience faced by them.
The prominent among those who attended the meeting included Khushi Ram (Sarpanch Machhedi), Mukhtiar Ahmad (Sarpanch Nathi), Karam Din, Babu Din, Moulvi Faiz Din, Bansi Lal, Ramesh Chand, Ravi Padha, Ramesh Chander, Rattan Lal, Anchal Singh and Bashir Ahmed.
