JAMMU, Mar 3: The Provincial Clerks Association (PCA) has reiterated the demands raised by All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation headed by Abdul Majid Khan.
In a meeting of the PAC held here today under the chairmanship of its president, Krishan Singh, the speakers highlighted various demands including release of 4th annual installment of 6th CPC arrears, two pending DA installments since January and July 2014, enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month and regularization of adhoc and contractual employees working continuously for more than seven years.
The PCA president made a strong plea to the Government to give proportionate representation to clerical cadre employees working in the offices outside Civil Secretariat for their promotion in the gazette cadre to save them from agony of stagnation as promotional avenues are not adequately available to them presently.
He also sought reorganization of clerical cadre by creating posts of Private Secretaries and Administrative Officers in the offices of Heads of Departments, Section officers and Stenographers in district level offices and Head Assistants and Junior Stenographers in all other subordinate offices.
He also demanded removal of pay anomalies of Senior and Junior Assistants.
