UDHAMPUR, Sept 28: To provide some sort of relief to the flood and land slide hit victims in district Udhampur a team led by senior political leader Pawan Khajuria distributed relief material to hapless people.
Khajuria, accompanied by his dedicated team, visited flood-affected Panchayats across the district. With many families left homeless and agricultural lands severely damaged, the team has been distributing essential relief material – including dry ration kits, medicines, and blankets – to meet the immediate needs of the sufferers.
Pawan Khajuria said that as Winter is approaching, the need for warm clothing and shelter becomes urgent.
“We are working day and night to ensure that no family is left behind in this hour of need”, Pawan said.
Besides, distributing much needed commodities, he has been personally involved in assessing the ground realities to tailor relief measures accordingly. His efforts have been widely appreciated by locals, who are grappling with the aftermath of one of the worst floods.
Pawan Khajuria emphasized that a collaborative approach is essential to bring back normal life.
He said that he and his team members are not just offering short-term aid but the goal is to support families until they are able to rebuild their lives,” he said.
He further assured that the relief campaign will continue till the Government and district administration put in place concrete and long-term rehabilitation measures for the affected population.
Khajuria said people in distress need sympathy and support this time and the relief operations continue to bring hope and support to those most in need.
