UDHAMPUR, May 3: In order to take stock of multifaceted problems and demands of the people, Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta convened a Public Grievances Redressal Camp at Londna, here today.
The problems and demands put forth by the inhabitants of the area included pollution due to factories and industries, unemployment, repair of roads, proper distribution of ration, low voltage, shortage of drinking water supply, repair of PHE pipeline, installation of new transformer, footbridge over nallah, compensation for crop damage etc.
After giving patient hearing to the problems and demands of the representatives of the areas, Minister issued directions to the officers concerned and redressed many problems on spot. He instructed the officers of District Industries and Commerce, to ask State Pollution Control Board to conduct thorough check of the factories to control the pollution and also instructed the concerned officers to mitigate the genuine problems of the public pertaining to their respective departments within a set time frame.
He directed AEE PHE to make storage tank to mitigate the shortage of water in Londna area. He gave assurance to the people that their genuine demands will be send to the concerned authorities for early redressal.
Earlier, Minister inaugurated 9 days Ram Katha at Pandav Mandir, Udhampur and later paid obeisance at the Luxmi Narayan Mandir Prayed for the peace and prosperity of the district as well as the State.
